Willow Avenue-Alhambra Avenue Drainage Improvement Project
Project Overview
The Seminole County Public Works Engineering Division is constructing drainage improvements along Willow Avenue and Alhambra Avenue, north of SR 436 and west of SR 434 adjacent to Lake Harriet along the Virginia Drive outfall.
This project will alleviate roadway and property flooding through channel regrading and the replacement of undersized round pipe with concrete box culverts. This project is using funds from both a FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) and a Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Resilient Florida Grant.
Construction began in late 2024 and is expected to reach completion in fall 2025.
