At the start of hurricane season, Seminole County conducts a simulation exercise at the Emergency Operations Center to prepare and practice responding to a storm approaching Florida.

Crews recently cleared stormwater ditches along Kansas Street in the Oviedo area, removing overgrown vegetation to help prevent flooding and ensure water flows properly.This work is part of the County’s year-round maintenance of ditches, culverts, and canals. These proactive efforts help protect homes, roadways, and critical infrastructure.
