Cross Seminole Trail

BRIDGE MAINTENANCE: Work will begin on pressure cleaning the deck of the I-4 pedestrian bridge in Lake Mary at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 1. Work is expected to be complete on or by Saturday, March 2. The bridge will remain open during the work.

BRIDGE REPAIRS: Now through the end of January 2024, one lane will be closed to traffic at Howell Creek Trestle on the Cross Seminole Trail for crews to complete bridge repairs. Seminole County crews will be conducting bridge repairs on multi-use trails throughout Seminole County through April 2024. Please slow down when workers are present.

The Cross Seminole Trail begins from the south at the intersection of Aloma and Howell Branch where it meets the Cady Way Trail in Winter Park and heads north for a 23 mile journey to meet the Seminole Wekiva Trail at the pedestrian bridge over I-4 in Lake Mary.

A portion of the trail is designated as the Florida National Scenic Trail. The Cross Seminole Trail, along with the Seminole Wekiva Trail, is also a part of the Florida Coast-to-Coast Trail, an ambitious effort currently in the works to create a continuous paved multi-use trail across the state of Florida from the Atlantic to the Gulf.

Enjoy park amenities along the way at Big Tree Park and Greenwood Lakes Park; or for an off-road wilderness experience, check out Spring Hammock Preserve and take a stroll through cypress forests on the boardwalk to Lake Jesup.
