PUBLIC NOTICE - SUBSTANTIAL AMENDMENTS TO THE FY 2015-2019 CONSOLIDATED PLAN & FY 2019/2020 ACTION PLAN

Seminole County intends to make substantial amendments to the FY 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan and FY 2019/2020 Action Plan to program supplemental allocations of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) dollars from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The grants will be used to respond to the economic and housing impacts that have occurred due to the COVID-19 health crisis.  Seminole County is eligible to receive $1,238,297 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG-CV) funds and an Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG-CV) allocation of $591,952.  These funds are authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), Public Law 116-136.  In addition, the substantial amendment is necessary to re-allocate FY 2019/2020 CDBG dollars to allow the use of funds additional public services for the COVID-19 response.
