Fertilizer Ordinance

Retail Partners Recognition

Recognition of Fertilizer Retail Partners

Seminole County would like to recognize those manufacturers, retailers and nurseries that have embraced the appropriate fertilization initiative and are supporting our efforts to educate the retail industry, professional applicators and the public on the importance of fertilizer Best Management Practices for landscape and water quality health. As corporate citizens of Seminole County, you have acknowledged the environmental impact that fertilizers have on our rivers, lakes and streams. Thank you to the following companies that have partnered with us!

As companies that produce or sell fertilizers and plants, you are often the first point of contact for many of our citizens. Your willingness to partner with Seminole County and the University of Florida IFAS Extension to introduce our in-store educational materials has helped guide the public on the proper use of fertilizer.

Partners contribute one or more of the following criteria:

  • Display signage or educational materials in store or client newsletter
  • Allow education of employees
  • Sell one or more products compliant with county ordinance
  • Distribute (5 minute) educational video to staff https://youtu.be/QYXpjS2HjHo
