Fleet Services Program
The Seminole County Fleet Services Program strives to ensure that all County employees have reliable access to the vehicles and equipment that they require for their operational needs, and to ensure that these items are purchased, operated, and maintained in a safe and cost-effective manner.
To accomplish this task, the Fleet Services Program maintains three service locations in Seminole County. The fleet staff includes employees skilled in a wide variety of areas, including maintenance, repair, parts acquisition and management, and equipment acquisition. Should issues arise that the County Fleet Department is not equipped to resolve in-house, Fleet Services maintains contracts with local, regional, and national businesses.
The Fleet Services Program also maintains fueling stations throughout the County, dispensing a total of nearly one million gallons of fuel per year. To ensure accountability, fuel transactions record data on the vehicle and the employee using the dispenser.
Fleet Services Program staff and management seek continuous improvement, optimizing the provision and maintenance of vehicles and equipment to better serve County staff and efficiently utilize taxpayer resources.
