Safe Sitter®
Safe Sitter® is a nationally recognized program designed to prepare young people to confidently care for younger children while babysitting.

In partnership with Safe Sitter®, the Seminole County Fire Department offers a one-day Seminole Safe Sitter® Course at minimal cost that teaches participants the skills they need to become safe and responsible babysitters.
Designed for pre-teens and teens, the Seminole Safe Sitter® Course equips participants with a fundamental knowledge of first aid, including how to prevent and treat injuries and handle emergencies like choking. Students will also learn life and business skills to prepare them for babysitting. Each course provides students with a full CPR training session, where they will receive their Heartsaver® Certification through the American Heart Association.

- This course is non-refundable. However, students unable to attend may transfer their registration fee to the following class.
- Training videos may contain realistic portrayals of minor injuries, including blood or vomit, to effectively demonstrate first-aid procedures. If your child is sensitive to these topics, please let us know before registering.
- While we accept students aged 11-18, it is geared towards a younger audience aged 11-14, who are just starting to babysit or stay home alone with younger siblings.
