Seminole County is actively evaluating microtransit as a flexible, rider-centered public transportation option. No final decision has been made by the Board of County Commissioners. Timeline
2024
- June — BCC directed staff to explore alternatives to improve transit service and reduce costs
- November — Microtransit concept presented to the Board
- December — RFP issued to solicit vendor proposals
2025
- February — Proposals received from qualified vendors
- April — Staff presented vendor options and potential service models during public worksession
- May — Contract award anticipated
- Summer — Community engagement and education campaign
- October — Potential service launch pending Board approval
