Homeowners in Seminole County that are income eligible may qualify for an insurance deductible reimbursement grant of up to $15,000 for damages resulting from the 2017 Hurricane Irma storm event.
A portion of available 2016-2017 SHIP funds may be re-allocated to assist qualified Seminole County residents that have experienced damages due to Hurricane Irma. In order to qualify for this program, the household must have first applied for assistance through the Federal Emergency Disaster Administration (FEMA). The deadline to apply for FEMA assistance is November 24, 2017, and further information on applying may be found at https://www.disasterassistance.gov/.
The program will open and Prescreen forms will be accepted beginning Monday, November 20, 2017 at our offices located at 534 West Lake Mary Blvd., Sanford, FL 32773, between 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily excluding weekends and holidays.
