Cross Seminole Trail

ATTENTIONMaintenance repair work to the Howell Creek Trestle of the Cross Seminole Trail between Vistawilla Rd. and Tuscora Rd. in Winter Springs will be in progress June 22, 2020 thru July 20, 2020.

Workers and earth moving equipment will be present.  At this time the trail will remain open please use caution while moving through this section of trail. In the near future, Howell Creek Trestle will be temporarily closed and an alternative route will be posted at Vistawilla Rd. and Tuscora Rd.

THE ALTERNATE ROUTEAROUND THE HOWELL CREEK BRIDGE ARE:

East to West - take Vistawilla Drive north to SR 434 to Tuscarora drive OR take Vistawilla Drive south to Northern Way west to Tuscarora Drive to the Cross Seminole Trail .

West to East - take Tuscarora Drive north to SR 434 east to Vistawilla Drive, south to the Cross Seminole Trail OR take Tuscarora Drive south to Northern Way east to Vistawilla north to the Cross Seminole Trail


The Cross Seminole Trail begins from the south at the intersection of Aloma and Howell Branch where it meets the Cady Way Trail in Winter Park and heads north for a 23 mile journey to meet the Seminole Wekiva Trail at the pedestrian bridge over Interstate 4 in Lake Mary.  Along the way, the trail meanders through the beautiful Cities of Oviedo and Winter Springs. A portion of the trail is designated as the Florida National Scenic Trail

Enjoy park amenities along the way at Big Tree Park and Greenwood Lakes Park; or for an off-road wilderness experience, check out Spring Hammock Preserve and take a stroll through cypress forests on the boardwalk to Lake Jesup.
