PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER ADVISORY

Seminole County Southeast Service Area-Southeast Regional Water Treatment Plant – PWS # 3590571

 precautionary boil water advisory was issued Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 1:00 a.m. due to a planned distribution system shut down for the replacement of an in-line valve. The valve was replaced, and the distribution system was flushed, we have commenced taking bacteriological samples as a precautionary measure. (13 service connections were affected).

 "Precautionary Boil Water Advisory" and DOH guideline flyers were placed on the residents so as to inform the customers of this situation and to provide contact information.  Therefore, as a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative bottled water may be used. This "Precautionary Boil Water Notice" will remain in effect until the bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.
