Addressing Requirements For New Development

Pertains to the Cities of Lake Mary and Longwood

The Seminole County E911 Addressing Office has been assigned responsibility for coordinating and maintaining the building numbers, street names and complex/subdivision names for the City of Longwood and Lake Mary as well as any unincorporated areas in Seminole County.

When submitting plans for Development Review or requesting an additional address within the city jurisdiction of  Longwood or Lake Mary, the following is required to be submitted to Seminole County's Addressing Office:

 
  • One set of pdf plans, including a site plan and floor plans for all multi tenant buildings.
  • Mark the location on the floor plan for the additional address request. Label the existing unit numbers (if applicable) and existing tenant-business & proposed tenant names.  
  • Floor plans are to have labeled the  walls, doors, north arrow, rest rooms, stairs, elevators, etc.
  • If the structure is currently single tenant, any additional addresses assigned will be unit numbers. The existing tenant & new address tenant will be readdressed to (4) digit unit numbers for multi tenant commercial buildings and (3) digit unit numbers for multi tenant residential. 
  • Address fee $25.00 for each assigned address. Checks or money orders payable to 'Seminole County'

  • Owner/developer Contact Information
  • Consultant Contact Information
  • Project Manager for the City
  • Any additional submittals or revised plans
 

The Seminole County Addressing Office reviews plans for the purpose of approving street names, subdivisions and complex names and issuing addresses for E-911.

Addressing fees will be determined after the above items are received and reviewed.
