LOCATION: The
Rinehart Road to Riverwalk Connector will extend the current Rinehart
Road Trail north to State Road 46, then further north along County
Road 15 (Monroe Road) to the proposed Riverwalk
Trail in Sanford.
LENGTH: When
complete, the trail will be approximately 4 miles long.
STATUS: The
County Road 15 portion of the trail will be constructed concurrent
with the road widening project which is currently under design. The
Rinehart Road and State Road 46 portions of the trail are currently
under master planning.
CHARACTER: The
Rinehart Road to Riverwalk Connector will be a paved multi-use trail
along road right-of-way.
FUTURE: The
Rinehart Road to Riverwalk Connector will connect to the existing Cross
Seminole Trail and to the proposed Sanford Riverwalk
Trail along Lake Monroe. The connection to the Rinehart Road Trail
will add to a nearly 50-mile proposed trail network which includes
the Seminole
Wekiva Trail.
CONNECTIONS & DESTINATIONS: The
Rinehart Road to Riverwalk Connector will connect to Derby Park, the
proposed Sanford Riverwalk Trail and
to the overall trails network.
