The Trails and Greenways Advisory Committee was a group of 15 local citizens, appointed by the Board of County Commissioners, who meet to discuss and provide direction to County staff and the Board of County Commissioners on issues related to the Seminole County trails program. The group was created in September of 1995 to represent a cross section of trail user and interest groups.
The duties of the Trails and Greenways Advisory Committee were to aid in furthering the development of the trails program in Seminole County, to provide assistance to County staff on trail planning, and to make recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners on trail development and planning issues.
In January 2008 the Trails and Greenways Advisory Committee merged with the Natural Lands Committee and the Parks and Recreation committee to form the Leisure Services Advisory Committee.
