Larvae Control

As part of the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach that Seminole County Mosquito Control is implementing, control of immature mosquitoes, larvae, is conducted year round.  This is one of the most efficient and cost effective control measures for mosquitoes out side of eliminating the source.  As larvae, mosquitoes are in concentrated areas where treatment can be focused on the problem.

SCMC uses Bacterial (Bti), growth inhibitor (Methoprene) and surface film (Agnique MMF) larvicides in its program.
