PERMIT FEES
-
Building
Permit Fees:
1. Building Permit Fees for buildings (new construction and alterations)
Base building permit fee.....$35.00 plus $4.00 per $1000 value of construction
(Value of construction is determined by the most recent December publishing
of the
Southern Building Code Congress estimates per square foot,
excluding the
regional
modifier, of all areas under roof according to the type of
construction and use.)
2. Building Permit Fees for Structures Other than Buildings
Base permit fee.....$25.00 plus $4.00 per $1000 valuation
Examples of structures other than buildings: Single Family Res., Model
Change, Temporary
Sales Office, Aluminum or vinyl siding, permanent power pole, aluminum
roof or cover,
retaining wall, seawall, range hood, remove underground gas tanks, solar
panels, install fire
alarm system, wood deck, install fire sprinklers & main, range hood
suppression system,
slab, satellite dish, install & replace windows, aluminum & roof
over mobile home,
canopy(gas station), dry chemical fire system, install underground
gas tanks, gas
station
island pump, above ground gas tanks, awning/canopy, install soffit & fascia, boat
dock,
install oil tanks, subdivision wall
3. Swimming Pools.....$90.00
4. Pool Enclosures.....$25.00 plus $4.00 per $1000 valuation
5. Re-roof.....$25.00 plus $4.00 per $1000 valuation
6. Fences.....$25.00 plus $4.00 per $1000 valuation
7. Update building permit if work has not commenced within 180 days
or there is a lapse of construction for a period of 180 days.....50% of
original permit fee (maximum $100.00)
8. First reinspection.....$25.00
9. Any other reinspection on same item.....$45.00
10. Restamping, recertification/approval of unaltered plans
a. residential plans.....$35.00
b. commercial plans.....$5.00 per page ($35.00 minimum)
11. Extra set of plans for builder.....$2.00 per page

NO REFUNDS will be made on permits of $50 or less unless permit is issued
in error by the County.
NO REFUNDS will be made on any permits more then six (6) months from date
of issuance unless permit is issued in error by the County.

Construction
Plan Review
1. Plan Submittal Fee - All applications for building permits will be accompanied
by a non-refundable plan submittal fee which will be applied against the
building permit fee upon issuance:
a. One and two family dwellings
value of construction - $0 to $100,000.....$100.00
value of construction - $100,001 to $200,000.....$200.00
value of construction - $200,001 and up.....$300.00
b. Structure other than buildings.....$25.00
c. All others.....50% of the estimated permit fee
2. Plan Review Fee (commercial only) - A charge will be placed against
permit applications for second and subsequent resubmittals.
Initial Application and First Resubmittal....No charge
Second and Subsequent resubmittals.....$20.00 per affected page ($500.00
