FLOOD PRONE AREAS
Special Flood Hazard Areas
Special Flood
Hazard Areas (SFHA's) are a darkly shaded
area on a FIRM or Flood Hazard Boundary Map(FHBM),
identifying an area with a one percent chance
of being flooded in any given year; hence
the property is in the 100-year flood plain.
Any land area
susceptible to being inundated by flood
waters from any source, is identified
as a flood plain.
Available on this web site are the Seminole County's FEMA Quadrangle Flood
Plain Maps. Also, there is a dynamic list of Map
Actions. These are all properties within Seminole County which have
been added or taken out of the Flood Plain.
