Fall 2014 Museum Programs and Events

Sat. September 27, 9-1 pm
: Smithsonian Museum Day--the Seminole County Historical Society is sponsoring free admission to the museum from 9-1 pm as part of the national celebration of Smithsonian Museum Day.

Thursday, October 30, 7:30-9 pm:  Get ready for Hallowe'en! Take the Museum's new Paranormal Tour at night and visit sites in the Old Building said to be the home of spirit presences.  Self-guided tours explain the results of two investigations into paranormal activity here and take visitors into the building's basement!  Regular admission prices in effect.

Saturday, November 8, 9-4 pm: Celery City Cruisers' 31st Annual Car Show: Antique car competition, food, music on museum grounds.  Car show is free, regular admission prices apply to museum tours.

Thursday, November 13, 6:30 pm:  Quarterly meeting of the Seminole County Historical Society. Speaker to be announced.  Light refreshments served.  Free and all are welcome. 310 Bush Blvd. Sanford in the Agriculture Exhibits Bldg.

Saturday, December 13, 1-4 pm: 27th Annual St. Lucia Swedish Christmas Festival: Swedish food, booths, music, entertainment and exhibit on Sanford's Swedish descendents.  Dessert served and meals available at the SweDISH Food truck.  Donations requested at the door.
