HOME INVESTMENTS PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM
Seminole County receives an annual allocation of funds from U.S. Office of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the HOME Investments Partnership Program. HOME Program funds can be used to build, buy and/or rehabilitate affordable housing for rent or homeownership. HOME Program funds can also be utilized to provide direct rental assistance to low-income households within Seminole County.
HUD requires participating jurisdictions to submit and have an approved Annual Action Plan each year. The County’s Annual Action Plan provides a concise summary of the actions, activities, and the specific federal and non-federal resources that will be used to address the priority needs and specific goals identified in the Consolidated Plan. The County has allocated approximately $50,000 in 2016/2017 HOME funds and approximately $50,000 in 2017/2018 HOME funds, for a total of approximately $100,000 for New Construction and/or Rehabilitation of Tax Credit/Bond Multifamily Rental Properties.
