Seminole County receives annual Federal grants through three programs administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These programs include the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, the HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program, and the Emergency Shelter Grants (ESG) Program. The Program Year will begin October 1, 2019 and end September 30, 2020. The total amount of funding from these sources is $2,814,684.
Seminole County is holding a Public Hearing to solicit citizen comments and input on the County's housing and community development needs for Program Year 2019-2020. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Reflections Plaza at 534 W. Lake Mary Boulevard, Sanford, FL 32773.
There will be a 30-day public comment period for the County's 2019-2020 One-Year Action Plan. Comments will be received at the Seminole County Community Development Division until 5:00 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2019. Public comments will be forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners prior to their July 23, 2019 meeting for final approval of the 2019-2020 One-Year Action Plan.
