In order to address these needs, federal funding in the amount of $414,546 is anticipated for the 2017-2018 Program Year. Through an inter-local agreement between the City of Sanford and Seminole County, projects will be administered by the County, or the County may contract with local governments, non-profit agencies or for-profit organizations, to undertake activities to meet identified community development and housing needs. At this time, Seminole County is accepting applications on behalf of the City of Sanford.
Additional funding may be available for other activities, depending upon availability. All proposals are due to the Seminole County Community Development Division no later than March 31, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. Faxed proposals and e-mailed proposals will not be accepted. Each proposal must be submitted as one (1) original paper document, six (6) duplicated paper documents, and must be accompanied by a single digital copy (one .pdf file) on one (1) compact disk or USB.
Applicants must attend a mandatory technical assistance workshop. The City will offer two workshop options: The first will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 10 a.m. This workshop will be held to provide technical assistance and to answer questions for all interested applicants at the Sanford City hall, First Floor Utility Training Room, located at 300 North Park Ave, Sanford, FL 32771. A second mandatory technical assistance workshop will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Sanford Public Safety Complex, Community Meeting Room located at 815 Historic Goldsboro Blvd. Sanford. All interested applicants must have a representative present at one of the two workshop in order to apply for 2017-2018 funding.
