Scary Stories To Tell in the Dark by Alvin
Schwartz
In this book there was a game that people played on Halloween. One
storyteller would tell about the remains of a dead man. Then a bunch of
blindfolded people would touch parts of food that felt like body parts.
They were not to scream! I like this book because it's so scary and has
alot of good pictures.
Shane, Sabal Point Elementary (Florida) Grade 5

This is a very good story. It's about 5 kids who go to the old park. The
park has a little room that no one can open so they walk around & see a
basketball hoop that is all covered with fungus. They go on the court &
look around & there is an old man lying down on the ground almost covered
with the fungus. The story goes on with more scary things!!!
Lucia, Flamingo Elementary (Florida) Grade 5
This is a scary book. Billy, age 12, is the main character. He is on a
bus going to Camp Nightmare. Suddenly the bus stops, the bus driver gets
out & takes their stuff off the bus. Then he tells everybody to get out &
he drives off. Billy hears something behind him. Do you think Billy will
survive summer camp? This is a good book if you like scary books.

Eric Mud is a nerd & a creep. He has flesh just like us but other people
don't. They have see-through skin. It all started when a beetle bit him
& made him have see-through skin. It bit him again & that's how he got
his skin back. But by that time everybody around him had see-through
skin. 24 years have passed since anybody has seen him. Read the book &
see how it ends.
Noelia, Jackson Heights Middle (Florida) Grade 7
I think it's really very, very scary. A kid changes into a dog. His
friends change into dogs, too. It's very, very weird! Why is this
happening? Read the book to find out!!!

he was not a member of the school & didn't even live in the area. Tracy
didn't trust him. Do you think they will get along? Will she ever trust
him? Do you think Brad will hurt her? Do you think Brad killed someone?
Do you think someone died? Find out in this book.

This book you won't be able to put down. You have to read every part of
it to understand the end, but it's VERY GOOD. I would recommend reading
this because it makes you think about what you are reading and when you

I enjoyed reading this book because it was a chilling story. The 2 main
characters are Rosha & Brady. In the first part of the story, someone is
stalking Brady. Brady finally confronts the stalker. The stalker says,
"Stay away from Rosha Nelson. This is no joke. Stay away from her."
Rachel, Lawton Chiles Middle (Florida) Grade 7
I enjoyed this book because it was mysterious & shocking. The 2 main
characters, Megan & Evan were trying to solve the mystery of the person
who hurt their friend. How could they know that it would change their
lives & the lives of their family & friends too. Only one thing is
certain, hurting somebody could be a real shocker.
Eric, Lawton Chiles Middle (Florida) Grade 7
This book is very good. It is about these kids Stephanie and Duane and

Iron Man by Ted Hughes
Starts superbly with a clanking iron giant tumbling off a cliff and lying
smashed & shattered on the rocks below. Then his various parts get up &
search for each other.
This was the best book I ever read. It was funny. It had everything. It
was great, so that's why you should read this book whenever you get a
chance!
It was so scary I couldn't go to sleep--it was just amazing how the author did
that.
Something very strange is happening to Rory and Dawn. And
it's not about their new step-family. Strange creatures are attacking
them. Weird sheep whose wool is made of steel and who drive tractors.
Giant frogs are attacking their house. Nobody believes them, not even
their parents. Now they have only each other for survival. This
story is UNBEARABLE, UNBELIEVABLE AND UNREAL.
In this book, Claudia, a member of the baby-sitters club, gets funky phone calls
while she is baby-sitting and then her friends start to too. When a murder
is committed close by, things are being stolen around the neighborhood, people
at school start acting strange, and Claudia and her friends think they hear
weird noises -- anything can happen!
This is a really creepy book that sends chills up your spine. A girl died
a long, long time ago from a big firecracker on July 5. Only little kids
can see her ghost and since she promised her little sister she'd never leave the
house, the ghost is stuck there. Years later a new family moves into the
house. The ghost is still there only now by gathering all her strength
people other than little kids can see her. It is up to the new family's
daughter to convince the ghost that she's been dead for a long time. If
you are looking for a book to creep you out and send you out of the house
screaming, this is the one!
This book is scary and nice with a little romance, but yet kind of
mysterious. You will never want to stop reading it.
This book is exciting. D.R. Brewer is doing a little plant
testing. Strange and scary things start happening. Will Margaret and
Casey make it out okay? Read to find out.
I love this book because it brings unlikely people together because of a haunted
doll that belongs to a little ghost girl! You will never want to put this
book down.
This is a great book to read for a super-chill. Brody's
girlfriend died last summer, thanks to vampires. He makes it his goal to
find and kill as many vampires as possible. Soon he finds a new, beautiful
girl named Kylie. She is smart, pretty, and deadly? Does Brody ever
get his revenge on vampires? Will Kylie find out, and decide to help
Brody? Or leave him? This is a great story with a shocking ending
that will leave you breathless.
This book is like the best book ever. I mean seriously I
couldn't put it down. It was a little bit disgusting when they talked
about Marc's head being twisted around backward Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
Luv da book it's like awesomely amazing.
This book was very good! It was the sequal to 'Tunnels of Blood'.
Scary, but not too much! I enjoyed it! Darren is the main character.
He must fight bears and face the council. I suggest reading all the other
books that come before this in order!
This is a very good book. It is about a 13 year old boy named
Ross who lies about everything. One day the boy lies himself into a
different dimension and he meets his double and he begins to fade and only his
double can help him get back to his dimension. But his double tells him
that he has to go into this room to get back to his dimension but since he is
his double he's a liar too. You should definitely read this book to find
out what happens next.
