No Dogs Allowed! is about an eleven-year-old girl.  Her name is Kristine.  Her beloved horse had died.  One day on Kristine's birthday her her grandpa bought her a cute, little, yellow puppy.  Kristine was really angry.  She had a new baby sister on the way and didn't need a yellow furball.  She scolded the puppy and made her break her leg bone on accident.  She named the puppy Mattie.  Then, Kristine got scared that she couldn't find her family.  But Mattie found her near the pond.

Will Kristine find her family?  Will she ever love Mattie?  My least favorite part is when Kristine scolded Mattie because she hurt her feelings.  I like this book because it is a great novel.
