Bonds
Fixed-income investments offer the
advantage of a stable return. You don’t have a
chance to make a large profit, but neither do
you leave yourself at risk for a major loss.
Deciding on which types of bonds to purchase
can be researched in several resources.

& Poor’s Bond Guide - provides summary
data on corporate bonds listed on the New
York and American exchanges, and assigns
ratings to bonds.
TheStreet.com

We also recommend looking at the website,

Association. Provides investor education
and offers real-time price data on municipal
and corporate bond trades.
Mutual Funds Mutual funds are a popular investment and
savings device, because it’s a way of buying
a portfolio of hundreds of stocks and then
hiring a group of professional financial
managers to look after them for you. There
are a number of tools available at the Library
which can provide information and analysis
of different available funds.

for nearly 2,000 mutual funds selected from
the top investment firms. A good deal of
content is now available on the Morningstar
website.
