Junior Tennis Pathway

Junior Training: To move from Intermediate class to Junior Training a player must demonstrate success in match play, knowledge of scoring, correct grips for serving and ground strokes, and a maturity level for a two hour tennis program. To move from the Development Training to the Tournament and Elite Training players must have moved to the highest level on the junior ladder and have a United States Tennis Association (USTA) tournament ranking. The Head Tennis professional has final approval.

USTA Junior Team Tennis is a grassroots community level tennis program that is marketed to boys and girls ages 6 to 18. The philosophy of the program is fun, fitness, and friends in an environment that stresses sportsmanship and socialization in a team tennis atmosphere. The skill divisions are broken down using a rating system designed for coaches, players and parents to rate their own children. Leagues are led by volunteer Area League Coordinators that organize and handle all of the local registrations for the participants in the community. USTA Jr. Team Tennis is a great recreational program where players of all skill levels can play with, or against, their friends in a low-key competitive environment.

Central Florida Grand Prix Tournaments is a series of tournaments created to introduce less experienced junior players to competition and allow them to prepare for higher-level tournament play. These tournaments are 1-day events that combine Fun and Camaraderie. The Junior Grand Prix Circuit introduces tennis and healthy competition to hundreds of young players who can play the sport their entire lifetime. This tournament is for players aged 15 and under.
