GREENWAYS & NATURAL LANDS
Human Impact Monitoring
At present Chuluota, Geneva, Lake
Proctor, and Econ
River Wilderness Areas and Spring
Hammock Preserve are open to the public.
SCNLP is committed to ensuring the public
that are permitted are not damaging to
the natural communities present. Level
of use will be closely monitored at those
sites, using various techniques, such as
parking lot surveys and photopoints. Attempts
will be made to correlate biological monitoring
data with level of use.
The SCNLP will
use data collected by the Seminole County Stormwater division
and other agencies to assess human impacts
on water quality on or adjacent to Natural
Lands sites.
