Exotic Flora & Fauna Monitoring

Flower Animation

The location and abundance of all plants not native to Florida will be documented when observed during normal operations. Surveys of these areas will be conducted at least annually. In areas where exotic control (removal by hand, herbicide use, etc.) is being implemented, photograph points may be established to document the effects of control techniques.

Populations of non-native fauna will be monitored through established sampling methods and appropriate actions will be taken to attempt to control the degree of infestation.
