NEWS RELEASE

Exercise Your Right to Vote and Help Seminole County's Shelter Animals
Posted on: 9/21/2009
Sanford, Fla., Sept. 21, 2009-Seminole County Animal Services is once again asking for your votes. The County is taking part in the latest Animal Rescue Site and Petfinder Shelter Challenge. The Shelter Challenge, which began September 14, is awarding grants totaling $100,000. Currently Seminole County Animal Services is in 8th place nationwide, and after coming in second place during the last Shelter Challenge, the County is on a mission to make it to first place this time around. So please help the County reach its goal; voting is super simple, free and no registration is required. Just log on to www.theanimalrescuesite.com/clickToGive/shelterchallenge and scroll down to the purple box. In the "Shelter Name" field, type in Seminole County Animal Services. Next select Sanford and FL then hit "Search" and click on "Vote." Confirm your vote by typing the name of the animal that pops up. It only takes about 10 seconds, and the grant will go a long way in helping the animals at Animal Services. You can vote once a day during the Challenge, which ends Sunday, December 20, 2009. Winners will be announced once voting ends. Prizes will go to the eligible Petfinder.com organization with the highest accumulative votes for the duration of the challenge. For more information on the contest, contact Diane Gagliano at (407) 665-5208, or if you're interested in adopting an animal, please visit: www.seminolecountyfl.gov/dps/ansrvs. /> |
