Only 17 Days Left to Help Out Seminole County's Furry Friends

Sanford, Fla., July 9, 2009-Sunday, July 26, 2009 is the deadline to cast your vote for Seminole County Animal Services. The animal shelter is competing for a $20,000 grant sponsored by the Animal Rescue Site and Petfinder.com. Thus far, Seminole County has been awarded $1,000 for being the shelter to receive the most votes in one week. The animal shelter is currently in second place nationwide and first place in Florida. With your assistance, we can be in first place in both categories.
Voting is super simple, free and no registration is required. Just log on to www.theanimalrescuesite.com/clickToGive/shelterchallenge. Scroll down to the purple box, and in the "Shelter Name" field, type in "Seminole County." Next select "Sanford" and "FL." Then hit "Search," and click on "Vote." Confirm your vote by typing the name of the animal that pops up. It's that simple.
You can vote once every day during the challenge. Final winners, including the $20,000 Grand Prize, will be announced on Wednesday, July 29, 2009. Prizes will go to the eligible Petfinder.com organization with the highest accumulative votes for the duration of the challenge.
