Precautionary Boil Water Advisory for the Northwest Service Area-Heathrow WTP

Posted on: 6/6/2009

Seminole County, Fla., June 6, 2009-A precautionary boil water notice was issued June 4, 2009, at 3:15 p.m. when a contractor damaged an 4” water main. The water main was repaired, flushed and bacteriological samples were collected as a precautionary measure. Eleven service connections were affected.

Subdivision:
Street: 1300,1305,1306,1309,1312,1313,1317,1321,1324,1325 & 1330 Chest Wood Circle
District: 5

"Precautionary Boil Water Advisory" door signs were placed on the businesses/residences to inform the customers of this situation and to provide contact information. Larger signs were placed at specific intersections within the service area. Therefore, as a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used. This "Precautionary Boil Water Notice" will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.

If you have any questions, you may contact Seminole County Environmental Services Department at 407.665.2110 between the hours of 8 a.m.–5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or call 407.665.2767 all other hours.
