The Solid Waste Collection and Disposal Program of Seminole County offers a variety of services to property owners. The services are provided and managed by the Solid Waste Management Division. UNINCORPORATED SEMINOLE COUNTY

RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY

Residential properties located in the unincorporated area of Seminole County participate in the Solid Waste Collection & Disposal Municipal Service Benefit Unit [MSBU]. The Solid Waste Collection & Disposal MSBU is a special assessment district providing collection and disposal of residential waste. The solid waste services provided through the MSBU include curbside collection, centralized disposal, and recycling services related to residential waste. Curbside collection is provided through contracted services; disposal services are provided at facilities managed by the County. The day-to-day operation of the disposal facilities, as well as the curbside collection service contracts is managed by the Solid Waste Management Division of the Environmental Services Department. The financial management of the MSBU is provided by the MSBU Program of the Fiscal Services Department.

An assessment for the services provided through the Solid Waste Collection & Disposal MSBU is collected annually in advance via the property tax bill.
