SERVICE CHANGE EFFECTIVE DATE INFORMATION:
The effective date of a service option changes depends upon whether the change is an "upgrade" or "downgrade" in service level.
"UPGRADES" increase the service level and assessment amount.
Requests may be made at any time during the year and are effective within five (5) business days. Upgrades are billed a prorated charge for the service increase on the next available property tax bill.
"DOWNGRADES" decrease the service level and assessment amount.
**Requests made BEFORE September 1, 2013 are included on the 2013 tax bill and are effective January 1, 2014.
**Requests made AFTER September 1, 2013 are included on the 2014 tax bill and are effective January 1, 2015.
Please Note: When Downgrading from (2) household garbage collection days per week (Option 1 or 2) to
(1) household garbage collection day per week (Option 3 or 4), the new collection day will be the later day of the week.
For example, if your household garbage is now collected on Tuesday and Friday, then Friday is the new collection day for once a week collection.
