Before acceptance of sidewalks into the County’s maintenance and repair system can be finalized, several criteria are analyzed.  These include:

• Is the sidewalk along a County maintained road or within County right of way?
• If not within right-of-way, will easement be granted?
• What is width of sidewalk?  Six feet is desired and eight feet is optimum.  Eight feet is the minimum standard on all collector/arterial roadway.
