The Urban Horticulture program promotes environmentally sound horticulture practices to manage plants in the landscape, gardens, or home. Individual homeowners, homeowner associations/managers and garden centers personnel receive information about sound horticultural practices from our Extension office to give an uniform criteria for dealing with plants in the landscape, garden or home.
The adoption of environmentally sound landscape management practices will reduce fertilizer, water, and pesticide use, consequently reducing costs, and labor, while protecting the environment.
Program administered by Extension Urban Horticulturalist, Gabrielle Milch.
