Museum of Seminole County History Spring Event

Museum of Seminole County History Spring Event

Our annual event honoring the skirmish at Lake Monroe in 1837, during the Second Seminole War. This year we will host a living history encampment at the Museum with musket firing demonstrations and hardbread taste-testing. We will also unveil a new display on “Black Seminoles” and the impact of this important group upon our “Florida War.” Spend some time with our living historians and learn about this formative event in Seminole County History!
