WATER CONSERVATION SUGGESTIONS
|
The Question: |
The following suggestions are practices that everyone can use and will result in reduced water consumption by 15 - 25 percent without a deal of difficulty or discomfort. |
|
|
The Answer: |
- Do not water lawns or gardens unless absolutely necessary to keep them alive
- Wash your car or vehicle once every two weeks or less.
- Become waste conscious while showering, shaving, brushing teeth, and washing hands (Wet down, soap up, rinse off; this will result in 50 percent less water usage for these activities)
- Wait until you have full loads of dishes in the dishwasher and full loads of clothes for the clothes washer.
- Check Fixtures for leaking faucets and commodes (Small drips add up to 100-300 gallons a day).
