Christmas Tree Collection Days
Every Wednesday, December 28, 2011 to January 25, 2012 Unincorporated Seminole County residents may place live Christmas trees curbside for collection. Trees larger than 8 feet tall must be cut in half.  Please place the live Christmas trees at the curbside no later than 6am.
  •  (Artificial Christmas trees may be placed at the curbside with the regular household garbage)
  • All Seminole County residents may dispose of live Christmas trees at the Central Transfer Station, 1950 State Road 419, Longwood, 32750 Monday through Saturday 7:30am to 5:30pm or the Seminole County Landfill, 1930 E Osceola Rd, Geneva, 32732, 7 days a week from 7:30am to 5:30pm free of charge.
     

Tire Collection Events

Saturday, January 21, 2012 – 8am to 2pm
Saturday, April 21, 2012– 8am to 2pm
Saturday, July 21, 2012– 8am to 2pm
Saturday, October 20, 2012– 8am to 2pm

Free Tire Collection Events are held several times a year at the Central Transfer Station and Seminole County Landfill.
These events offer residential households FREE disposal of up to 10 tires. The events are offered as a means to alleviate illegal dumping of tires and help prevent mosquitoes. CALL 407-665-2260 FOR MORE INFORMATION

Small businesses can dispose of hazardous waste by working directly with EQ of Florida (a permitted hazardous waste disposal company under contract to Seminole County). Call EQ at 1-800-624-5302 x3427 regarding pricing, method of payment and to schedule an appointment. Inform her that you are interested in participating in the Seminole County Small Business Collection event. You will be asked to provide a thorough inventory of your hazardous waste and the size of the containers used for storage. Payment for disposal is made directly to EQ. Seminole County is not responsible for disposal costs. The following dates are for hazardous waste disposal:

Businesses can recycle E-scrap by working directly with Great Lakes Electronics. Call 386-673-1281 regarding pricing, method of payment and to schedule an appointment. Inform them that you are interested in participating in Seminole County’s E-scrap Collection event. You will be asked to provide a thorough inventory of your E-scrap. Payment for recycling is made directly to Great Lakes Electronics. Seminole County is not responsible for recycling costs. The following dates are for E-scrap recycling:
