Residential Electronics Recycling

Electronics Recycling What is e-scrap?
E-scrap is the term used to describe end-of-life electronics. Computers and televisions are specifically targeted for recycling because of the high lead levels found in their cathode ray tubes (CRTs). CRTs are the video display components of televisions and computer monitors.

Why not just throw in the garbage?
Because they contain high levels of lead, cathode ray tubes in computers and televisions may pollute the environment if improperly disposed. Recycling, instead of landfilling, is the preferred method to handle e-scrap.

Who can recycle e-scrap?
The electronics recycling program is available for all residents of Seminole County for e-scrap generated in your home. This service is FREE OF CHARGE for residential households.

Electronics RecyclingWhere can I recycle my e-scrap?
