Drop Off Facilities

For the convenience of our citizens, drop off facilities are available County-wide.

RECYCLING DROP OFF FACILITIES
The Solid Waste Management Division operates two facilities for recycling. They are the Central Transfer Station and Seminole County Landfill.  The following are accepted at both locations:

- Newspaper
- Magazines and Catalogs
- Plastic Bottles #1 through #7
- Glass - Green, Clear, Brown
- Steel Cans including empty
   steel aerosol cans
-  Aluminum Cans
Recycling Drop Off Facilities
- At the Central Transfer Station only, you can also drop off
  corrugated cardboard.

USED OIL RECYCLING DROP OFF FACILITIES
Used oil can be dropped off by residential households (not businesses) at the following locations in Seminole County:

Longwood
- Central Transfer Station

There may be additional locations that accept used oil in and around Seminole County. We suggest visiting the Earth 911 web site or call 877-EARTH911 for other locations.

HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE (HHW) DROP OFF FACILITIES
Household Hazardous Waste can be dropped off at the Central Transfer Station.  Using the site will ensure proper disposal of common HHW.  HHW is accepted at FREE OF CHARGE at all times during regular business hours at the Central Transfer Station. The Central Transfer Station is open Monday through Saturday from 7:30 am -5:30pm

THE HHW COLLECTION CENTER AT THE LANDFILL IS CLOSED. WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS MAY CAUSE OUR CUSTOMERS.
