To view water and waste water utility maps,
you must have ArcExplorer
1.1 or
greater or ArcView installed onto
your PC. ArcExplorer 1.1 is available
on the GIS website under ‘Free Stuff. After loading one of these programs,
you can continue.)

In the column
on the left of the page single left
click on 'Data Source', then single left
click
on the words ‘Layers Automated’.
This will open the coverage dictionary
page.
It describes
the different information available
from the site.

Pan down the
main page until you get to the coverage
you want.

To download
and view information you must double
click the button with the letter 'd' on
it.

Click 'ok'
to save to your computer.

Choose where
you would like to have the coverage
located and save.

Open the folder.
-
Click on the
finish button in order to extract the
file (unzip) then click ok.

Do this to
as many layers as you would like to
view.

Close Internet
or minimize screen.

Open Arc Explorer
1.1 or greater.

Open a theme
by clicking the draw down menu and
select add theme, or choose the add theme
button
(the button with a square and + on
top of it.)

Search through
folders to where you installed the
file (step 8).

Click on file.
-
Click on add
theme in upper right side of window.
Close small window.

You should
have the layers/theme in a box or the
left hand side of the window under local.

Check white
box next to the theme to view.
