The Planning Branch of EMS/Fire/Rescue consists of the Community Involvement and Information Section which serves to provide community wide outreach. The Resource Management Section is responsible for the oversight of
planning and construction of any new fire department facilities, as well as the
maintenance, repair or renovation of existing facilities.
The Fleet Management Section has the responsibility of all apparatus and gas
powered equipment utilized by the Seminole County Fire Department.
The Special Projects Section is responsible for the computers utilized on a daily basis
within the Fire Department, as well as for the analysis and interpretation of vast amounts of data created for each alarm.
The Professional Standards/Training Section is responsible for the initial orientation and training of all new recruits, as well as continuing education and training for our nearly 400 firefighters. The Training Center, located at 201 Valentine Way in Longwood, is now nationally recognized as a Professional Testing Center for the National Testing Network, providing test administration services for the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) and Fire Team Test.
The Logistics Section has the responsibility of ensuring that adequate supplies are available for the use of the fire department personnel and stations.
