SERVICE CHANGE EFFECTIVE DATE INFORMATION

UPGRADE  -  A service "upgrade" is a service change that adds services and increases the amount of the annual assessment. The new assessment amount will be displayed when you select your new service option.  The additional cost for the service upgrade, to cover the increased expense for the current service year, will be added to your next property tax bill.  A confirmation of the requested service change with notification of the upgrade amount will be mailed to you (property owner).

Service upgrades may be requested at any time during the year.  The requested upgrade will be effective within five (5) business days


DOWNGRADE  -  A service "downgrade" is a service change that removes services and decreases the amount of the annual assessment. The new assessment amount will be displayed when you select your new service option.  A confirmation of the requested change will be mailed to you (property owner).

Downgrade requests are accepted throughout the year, however processing is coordinated with the first available tax year.

  • Downgrades are effective on January 1 of the calendar year beginning after the assessment for the new option is included on the property tax bill. The deadline for requesting downgrades for the next service year is August 15th. As examples:
    • Downgrade requests received between September 2, 2016 and September 1, 2017 will be billed on the 2017 tax bill and will be effective as of January 1, 2018.
    • Downgrade requests received between September 2, 2017 and August 15th, 2018 will be billed on the 2018 tax bill and will be effective as of January 1, 2019.
  • A confirmation letter of the requested change will be mailed to the property owner within 5 business days.
