Irrigation Connections and Temporary Construction Meters

What is a residential irrigation meter?

The following information will be required for submittal as part of the application process, and prior to approval:

Commercial Irrigation

  • A site plan showing the location and size of the existing water main. Indicate whether there is an existing service or if a wet tap will be required. Also show the size and location of the proposed meter and service line.
  • Submit irrigation calculations showing annual average Gallons Per Day (gpd). Show the number of heads per zone, gallons per minute per head, zone run times, and the days per week each zone will operate.  Or, the calculation can be based on an application rate.
Reclaimed Water Irrigation
  • A site plan showing the location and size of the existing reclaimed water main. Indicate whether there is an existing service or the size of a wet tap if required. Also show the size and location of the proposed meter and service line.  Service line and irrigation pressure lines shall be color coded for reclaimed water (Pantone Purple).
  • Submit a Reclaimed Water Application to the attention of the One Stop Permitting Office in the Environmental Services Department.
Temporary Construction Meter
  • A site plan showing the location and size of the existing watermain. Indicate whether there is an existing service or the size of a wet tap if required. Also show the size and location of the proposed meter and service line in relationship to the construction trailer.
