Alcohol Licensing Process

Please choose what type of Alcoholic Beverage License establishment you are seeking:

Restaurant where a majority of profit is from the serving of meals.

For a new license, a Special Exception is required for a bona fide restaurant that is within 1,000 feet of a church or school. Requires a Distance Separation form.

Bar or Restaurant where a majority of profit is from the serving of alcohol.

For a new license, a Special Exception is required for any establishment selling alcoholic beverages for on-premise or off-premise consumption where the sale of alcohol is the primary business. Requires Distance Separation form.

Package Liquor Store where alcohol sales exceeds 10% of the net floor area.

For a new license, a Special Exception is required for any establishment selling alcoholic beverages for on-premise or off-premise consumption where the sale of alcohol is the primary business.

Incidental Sales where alcohol sales does not exceed 10% of the net floor area.

Example: convenience or grocery store. Provide a floor plan showing the overall square footage of the establishment and the area of alcohol sales.

NOTE: A Development Order will be issued and recorded in Land Records per the Land Development Code of Seminole County.
