Seminole County Government offices are closed Thursday and Friday (11/22 - 11/23) in observance of Thanksgiving. Our offices will resume normal business hours on Monday, November 26, 2018.
The Seminole County Board of Adjustment (BOA) is a group consisting of five (5) regular members and two (2) alternate members, all of which are appointed by the Seminole County Board of County Commissioners (BCC). It is empowered to hear and decide Variances and Special Exceptions. Usually occurs on the last Monday night of each month, but does not meet in November due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Seminole County's Planning and Zoning (P&Z) Commission consists of seven (7) volunteer, unpaid members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) to advise on planning and land development matters. The Planning and Zoning Commission meets once a month (first Wednesday) excluding holidays, to hear and make recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners on proposed zoning and land use changes. Usually occurs on the first Wednesday night of each month, but does not meet in November due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Code Enforcement Board (CEB)
The Code Enforcement Board meets once a month (fourth Thursday), but does not meet in November due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. The December meeting is always scheduled for the first Thursday in December. The Board meets to consider notices issued in violation of the Seminole County Code including, but not limited to, business tax receipts, zoning, building, fire and sign codes.
