Seminole County's Office of Emergency Management will host a community-wide exercise "Operation Protect and Secure" as part of National Preparedness Month. The exercise goal is to encourage businesses, churches, schools, and residents to consider what they would do if a "lock-down" was implemented by first responders.
On October 20, 2017 at 10:00am, organizations, businesses and healthcare facilities are encouraged to take part in the exercise. The exercise will simulate a lock down at your facility.
We can all take action to prepare! We can all help first responders in our community by learning how to respond during an emergency. It is important to know what to do before an emergency or disaster strikes. Where we live, work, and visit can all be targets. The goal of National Preparedness Month is to increase individuals, families, and communities engagement in preparedness actions at home, work, businesses, schools, and places of worship.
