High School Diploma and one (1) year of two-way radio communication office experience. A comparable amount of education, training, and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications. Special Requirements: Knowledge of FCC Report and Order on nationwide 800 MHz Rebanding Initiative. Knowledge of Seminole County Government 800 MHz radio communication equipment, systems and their terminology. Knowledge of County geography, its municipalities and departments. High School or GED and 1 year of experience in the maintenance and construction of roads and drainage facilities; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities. Considerable knowledge of the effective operation and maintenance of heavy equipment. Knowledge of traffic and highway safety rules and regulations and effective precautionary measures necessary to avoid accidents and hazards involved in the use of heavy equipment. Ability to understand and carry out general instructions, read, write and complete work records. Ability to communicate effectively with the public.
