Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing (HPRP)
The Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing (HPRP) program is now closed.  All applications received are in the process of being reviewed.  Applicants will be notified by mail of their application status.  All selected applicants will be contacted to schedule a case management appointment.


Emergency Financial Assistance (PDF)
These are Board of County Commission (BCC) general revenue and grant funds that provide limited financial assistance to eligible Seminole County residents confronting a financial hardship. The hardship must have occurred within the last 90 days.

Availability of all programs is contingent upon availability of funds.

Seminole County Community Assistance will provide a one (1) hour orientation to all customers applying for financial assistance services.
Orientations are scheduled every Monday and Wednesday with the exception of Seminole County observed holidays that fall on those days.
Doors will be open for admittance:
Mondays: 8 to 8:15 a.m. and 1:30 to 1:45 p.m.
Wednesdays: 8 to 8:15 a.m. and 1:30 to 1:45 p.m.
Note: Due to limited spacing, only the applying applicant will be allowed in orientation.

Types of Assistance

RENTAL/MORTGAGE
Resident must provide documentation of financial hardship. Note: This assistance is limited to one time within a 12-month period.

UTILITY

MEDICAL
Effective January 1, 2010, we will only provide medical assistance for prescription medications (no over the counter or controlled substances), limited dental (extractions, fillings, root canals, partials and full dentures), eye exam and glasses.  All other medical referrals may contact the local health department (407) 665-3000 or the Central Florida Family Health Center (407) 322-8645 for other medical services.

PRESCRIPTIONS
Intended to meet immediate medication needs of residents. Doctor's written Rx is required. New prescriptions only, no refills. The assistance is limited to one time within a 12-month period.

CHILD CARE
Funds intended to provide temporary assistance for residents who have been denied 4C services or are currently on the 4C waiting list. Child care applicants must attend a child care orientation.

BURIAL/CREMATION
Seminole County has an indigent Burial/Cremation Program for eligible residents of the County.  Contact 407-665-2360 for application and procedure.
