COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE
The Seminole County Community Assistance Division provides a variety of emergency services to eligible residents of Seminole County.

County Funded Agencies
The county provides funding to non-profits who provide various types of services to address a multitude of unmet needs within our community that may not otherwise be addressed.
CSA
Grant Program
This program is a Board of County Commissioner
(BCC) funded initiative for supporting a variety
of community service projects. All not for
profit agencies serving Seminole County residents
are eligible and may apply for funds through
this program. The Division of Community Assistance
provides training, support, & oversight for
all contracted agencies.
County Received Grants
The division is the recipient of several grants which are formalized through contracts and which are monitored annually for compliance.
Emergency Financial Assistance
These are Board of County Commission (BCC) general revenue funds that provide limited financial assistance to eligible Seminole County residents confronting a financial hardship.
Substance Abuse
The Division provides a variety of services to Seminole County that are directed at reducing the incidence and consequence of substance abuse and violence.
Self Sufficiency Program
A new service begun in 1997 under the federally funded Community Services Block Grant is short-term assistance that can help families achieve self-sufficiency. If due to some circumstances beyond their control a family has found themselves unable to meet their basic needs the Self-Sufficiency Program may be able to assist in helping the family get back on their feet.
Edward Byrne Grant
The EDWARD BYRNE DRUG CONTROL AND SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT FORMULA GRANT PROGRAM began in 1988, and was first implemented in Seminole County in 1990. The program is a part of the national drug control efforts and provides funding in 26 purpose areas.
