Have you ever seen photos of sad dogs and cats looking out from cages in animal shelters and wondered what you could do to help??? Well now is your chance. Starting August 1st through October 31, Seminole County Animal Services is competing in the ASPCA/Rachael Ray $100K Challenge. During these 3 months, our goal is to adopt out "A Dozen A Day". That would mean 1,100 pets would be in new homes at the end of the competition and Animal Services will win some much needed grant money. So where do you come in? Seminole County Animal Services needs the help of our community and your families & friends to get these pets adopted. That is why we created the "RESCUE or REFER" Program. During these 3 months you can either rescue a dog or cat yourself and provide it with a loving new home…not a bad thing right?? Or if you just don't have room for one more new pet you can refer someone to Animal Services to adopt. Scour our adoption site at

www.facebook.com/SeminoleCountyAnimalServices to find the dogs or cats that you know your friends or family would love. Have them come down to the shelter and adopt a pet and let us know you referred them.
Anyone who "Rescues or Refers" someone who adopts, will be entered to win an awesome prize. The drawings will be held the 15th and the 30th of each month. The prize in each drawing is 4 SeaWorld/Aquatica passes good for 2 weeks of Sea World fun.The pet wins and you may win to! Remember the more you rescue and the more you refer the more chances you will have in the drawings. So start checking out our available pets and get ready to Rescue or Refer and let the pets you help find homes for, be part of "A Dozen A Day" we plan to get adopted during this challenge.
